Group Pottery Workshops in Auckland

Service Description

You're invited to a hand-building pottery workshop on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, from 10 am to 1:30 pm in the peaceful surrounds of West Auckland’s rural landscape. Whether you’re new to clay or have prior experience, this 3.5-hour workshop offers a nurturing, therapeutic space to slow down, get grounded, and reconnect through making. What You'll Learn These workshops are focused on sculptural hand-building techniques, including: coiling, slab building, pinch methods Rather than following rigid templates, you’ll be guided through building organic, asymmetrical forms that emerge from your own intuition and creativity. The emphasis is on process, not perfection — allowing the clay and your hands to meet in an authentic, expressive way. All Materials Provided – Clay, Tools, Firing Everything you need will be provided: clay, tools, and support. After the workshop, your creation will be double-fired off-site. Your finished piece will be ready for collection or delivery in approximately six weeks. A Therapeutic, Grounding Experience Set in a calm rural location — yet only 30 minutes from Auckland CBD — the workshop offers a real sense of retreat. The pace is slow, the group is small (maximum 8 people), and the atmosphere encourages stillness, exploration, and reconnection with self. Warm Drinks & Good Company Feel free to bring your own lunch or snack. I’ll have tea, coffee, and homemade cake ready to share during our break. Expect a warm, welcoming group environment — with plenty of space to focus or chat, depending on what you need.
